With the proceeds, Artists 4 Democracy will promote voter registration and participation on college and university campuses across California and in swing states including Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia. A4D will bring workshops and artist talks to a growing list of campuses to help students find their way to the polls and to encourage political engagement through artmaking and canvassing.

Artists 4 Democracy is a volunteer organization that mobilizes the art community to engage civically and art students (who traditionally have low voter turnout) to vote. Through campus workshops, artist talks, art sales, fundraisers, canvassing, voter registration drives, and political events, they foster and protect our participatory democracy.

The push for anti-democratic legislation at the local and state level, paired with the roll back of personal freedom and privacy laws surrounding abortion, make voting all the more important this year. Artists 4 Democracy partners with other organizations as well as universities and colleges across California and in swing states to provide education on the how’s, why’s and importance of voting.
