Melanie Schiff ( b. 1977, Chicago, IL) received her BFA from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and her MFA from University of Illinois Chicago. Schiff has held solo exhibitions at Night Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; PATRON Gallery, Chicago, IL; Kate Werble Gallery, New York, NY; LAXART, Los Angeles, CA; Kavi Gupta, Chicago, IL; University Galleries of Illinois State University, Normal, IL; Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, Santa Barbara, CA; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL. Schiff has also exhibited at venues including FLAG Art Foundation, New York, NY; Anton Kern Gallery, New York, NY; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL; MoMA PS1, Long Island City, NY; Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, FL; Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis, IN; Marian Goodman Gallery, Paris, France; Meyer Riegger, Karlsruhe, Germany; and Foxy Production, New York, NY. Her work was included in the 2008 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY. Schiff lives and works in Los Angeles.
