In collaboration with Foreign & Domestic Editions, Night Gallery is delighted to invite you to the launch for Jesse Mockrin's new print, Embracing Flames, on Saturday, July 29th from 4-6pm as part of Gallery Weekend Los Angeles. The artist will be on site for this event. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
The gallery also invites you to visit our current exhibitions by Sarah Miska, Yooyun Yang, MPA, and Sterling Wells. The galleries will remain open until 8pm.
Jesse Mockrin (b. 1981, Silver Spring, MD) has had solo exhibitions at Night Gallery, Los Angeles; Nathalie Karg Gallery, New York; and Galerie Perrotin, Seoul. She has been featured in group shows at James Cohan, New York; Friends Indeed, San Francisco; SPURS Gallery, Beijing; and Unit London, UK, among others. Her work belongs in the permanent collections of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, CA; Dallas Museum of Art, TX; Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), CA; Rubell Collection, Miami; KRC Collection, Voorschoten; and Hans-Joachim and Gisa Sander Foundation, Darmstadt. Mockrin's work has been covered extensively, appearing in publications including the New York Times, The New Yorker, Vogue, Artforum, T Magazine, Modern Painters, and Art Agenda. A catalogue for her solo exhibition Syrinx was produced by Night Gallery in 2019. Her work was included in the 16th Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2022. Mockrin lives and works in Los Angeles.
